Dr. Gail Weingast’s educational journey, the one that led to her current position as a world class radiologist, was both long and satisfying. That is why Dr. Gail Weingast is now a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. Dr. Gail Weingast is that hospital’s Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imag-ing. During her two decades there, she has brought her radiology department into prominence as one of the finest in New England.
While the path to her current position didn’t always follow a straight line, she values every aspect of her journey because it all made her the doctor she is today. That journey actually commenced in 1969, but it wasn’t always clear Gail Weingast wanted a career as a medical professional. The first phase of her education came at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. At their Jackson College, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, indicating that medicine wasn’t at the top of her career list at the time. That certainly changed soon after, though, because she attended the Boston University School of Medicine, and officially became Dr. Gail Weingast MD in 1976. Comments are closed.
