Dr. Gail Weingast values every aspect of her educational and career journey because it made her the doctor she is. One could say Dr. Gail Weingast’s career journey began in 1969, but that may or may not be accurate. Her career actually started when she at-tended Jackson College at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and came out with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. That would indicate that medicine wasn’t exactly a calling based on a childhood dream.
More realistically, her 40-year career in medicine came a few years after that. That is when she attended the Boston University School of Medicine and earned the right to be called Dr. Gail Weingast, MD back in 1976. After medical school, Dr. Gail Weingast finished several internships, residencies and fellowships at Colorado General Hospital in Denver between 1977 and 1983. Those included a two year pediatrics internship, a two year pediatrics residency, a three-year residency radiology and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound. Dr. Gail Weingast then completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, which is also located in Denver.
